I was sitting on a bench in East Hampton, Long Island waiting for my wife to finish shopping and I saw this little girls father reach out to grab her hand before crossing the street. It was such a sweet moment I had to capture it.

This is an old porcelain coated metal coffee cup sitting on a boat builders desk. It seemed like this was part of his toolkit. I loved the way the porcelain is worn off the handle from use.

Blue Point Oysters

This is a photo of an old Oyster processing plant on the South Shore of Long Island. Look at the pile of shucked oysters on the work table. The shores around Long Island were so rich in oysters that crushed oyster shells were actually used for landfill in some parts of Manhattan (as mentioned in the movie “The Bone Collector”). I loved the way the light was beaming in through the skylights in the roof rafters.
