Just a little something more from the steam fair. I used Analog Efex pro 2 in post. The original was shot using my Leica M9P.
Psst.. You can see a colour version here.

There is no going back now.The first storms have arrived and, the first snows are falling in the mountains.

This Madonna and child stand on the top of a hill 3,347 feet above sea level. Just over an hours walk will get you to the top of this mountain. As thanks for your pilgrimage you get to see this wonderful statue of the Madonna Child.

This is what I must look like at times. Hunched into picture taking mode oblivious to anything except that little window we see life through.

A little HDR shot with the help of HDR Efex Pro 2. Taken from about the same vantage point as the shot I posted last week. The steam parade begins with this beautiful lorry. Restored to better than new condition.
You can see some shots in colour from previous years on my Flickr account here

I have returned for my holidays which were spent in the UK. This was on of the first shots out of my camera taken in Winchester high street. I was so attracted to the two mannequins in the shop window. The way they seem to be pompously judging the shopper taking a rest on the bench outside that this shot leaped out at me.
