I have a friend whom collects swords for a hobby. I was lucky enough to attend a lecture he gave on the subject he holds so dear. I think this shot shows a little of that passion shinning through.

One from my Car cemetery series. I re-visited my album and found the shots that deserve a second look. I liked this one I shot with an old 20mm manual lens on my D800 worked out well I think.

A personal one for a change (well it’s family) My son Patrick and my nephews daughter Caitlin share a moment while waiting to go shopping.

Taken while wandering around at a Sunday morning market in city of Ghent in Belgium. I loved this couple deep in conversation checking out the old postcards. The guy looks like a great character to me. I didn’t want to get too close so this is a heavily cropped shot. The D800 makes it easy to do with the large image files it produces.

a reflective moment before entering the grand expanse of water.
Time to savor the calm within.
