This few kilometres of road are quite the tourist attraction. It been used in films and car commercials here in Europe on many occasions. My wife and I chose to cycle it in both directions on what turned out to be a very calm and warm day. Which, given the fact that this road is literally “out to sea” was quite unusual.

A postcard shot of one of my holiday destinations here in Norway. Åndalsnes. This is taken from the top of a cable car ride to the top of the mountain this is looking towards Trollstigen but you can’t see that from here.

The town of Røsos known as Bergstaden was a copper mining town from 1644 and since 1980 has been on Unesco’s World heritage site list.Røros and its people were made famous to Norwegians at the turn of the 20th century by semi-fictional author
Johan Falkberget who told the story of the mining community from the perspective of the hard-tested miners at the bottom of the social ladder.

Yes, sometimes they can ruin a picture. But, I know these three very well and they are always great company. We were attending a formal occasion (the British ambassador was in attendance )to celebrate the Caledonian Society of Norways 75th anniversary. I say formal however there was also a great deal of fun as can be seen here. A great night was had by all.

Just over the bridge from last weeks shot I found this old farmhouse which time, the wind and snow, had worked away at for many years. The whole place was leaning over.

Probably the worlds biggest at over 10 mtr.’s.There is always an argument going on with the Canadians other who has the biggest one. I don’t really care but it makes a nice motif.

My wife and I went camping. Unfortunately/fortunately I was woken up very early because of a cock crowing in a nearby farmyard. I made myself a drink and looked down at the river. An early morning mist was rolling along it so I walked down to the bridge and took this, The lady on the bridge was someone from the campsite with the same idea.It’s a rare landscape shot for me but I like it. I have some more to share in the following weeks stay tuned.

I thought before moving on from my stint as wedding photographer I’d share this shot. Alice is just adjusting her gown. This shot just worked for me, and originally this was a much larger 28mm shot which I cropped heavily. The huge sensor on the Q2 gives you room for this. I’ve never been a student of the “Never crop a photo.” school It’s my photo, my story. I’ll crop the shot to fit my vision.
