Last weekend I finally returned to the Oregon coast, more than six years after my last visit. A black & white photographer’s paradise, for sure. The Astoria-Megler Bridge, taking US 101 across the Columbia River, the last bridge before the river runs into the Pacific Ocean. The gloomy weather definitely helped in taking this long exposure monochrome image, smoothing out motion in water and clouds.
More of my photography can be seen on my blog “Streets of Nuremberg“

I loved going back and forth over this bridge!! In fact I posted about it in 2019, but your photo is so much better than mine, Love it!!

Gorgeous image, Marcus. Love the piers and the silky water – the bridges along here are so pretty. Did you get to Cannon Beach?

Thanks, Jane, much appreciated! And yes, I made it to Cannon Beach, but the clouds were moving in, hiding the sunset. Still magic, my day at the coast!

Superb long exposure image Marcus 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Now I’m going to have to blow the dust off my Lee Big Stopper ND filter and try some long exposure shots myself 😊

Thanks, Joe, your kind words are so much appreciated! You also should have plenty long exposure opportunities in your area. Looking forward to seeing them 🙂
