The St. James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin. Better known as the home of Guinness. To be honest the place was like Disneyland. I love Guinness just didn’t like all the razzmatazz at the visitors centre. So not many points on trip advisor.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Guinness brewery too. It is nice and „quiet“ so makes for a great experience. The Jamesons Distillery likewise.
Stunning photo.

No problems. I just was so disappointed by the whole thing. I did however enjoy my trip to Farmleigh Arthur Guinness’s home in Phoenix Park.In my book a better choice.

I can imagine…I feel so many places are overcrowded and “Disneyfied” these days that it takes from the special atmosphere. It tends to be a general trend worldwide…even the Swiss Alps are falling to that marketing ploy…
Have a wonderful New Year!

Awesome image David 🙂 Guinness is one of the breweries I would most like to visit. I have visited a lot of breweries in the states such as Samuel Adams, Ommegang, Yuengling and Harpoon but Guinness is my quest. Spectacular work and I hope when you had a couple of cold ones you thought of me for just a second, LOL.

Don’t let my comments put you offJoe, just don’t expect the Micro-brewery experience. That’s what I’m saying you don’t get anywhere near the process. Which I’m sure is wise with so many people visiting.
