this is a powerful image…it invites me to move towards a truth and away from political ramblings and to begin to question, “how many more parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, friends will live out their lives with such unanswerable grief? how many more innocent people’s lives be forever impacted by the revisiting of unimaginable horrors, over and over again? how many more lives will be lost before….?

Thank you so much for your kind comment on my image Brenda 🙂 Political ramblings are just elected officials trying to get votes for re-election. They don’t care what these parents had to endure. I have all the same questions as you. I know I will probably get some negative comments about my post so in full disclosure I am a gun owner. As a matter of fact I have numerous guns but living in New York I had to go through a 6 month process to get my pistol permit. FBI checks, fingerprinting, local law enforcement checks and they even went as far to question my neighbors to make sure I wasn’t a cuckoo bird. Not once did I feel that my second amendment rights had been violated with all these checks. I also believe other than the military and law enforcement personnel civilians should not have access to military grade weapons and high capacity magazines. These are just my personal beliefs and I’m sure some will disagree. I feel if there was a national law like there is in New York maybe some of these tragedies could have been avoided. Sorry for rambling 🙂

“I also believe other than the military and law enforcement personnel should have access to military grade weapons and high capacity magazines” Even though I am not a gun owner I have experienced a number of gun-related deaths. So I find myself confused as to the reasons “a regular Joe” would stack up on assault weapons?

Sorry Brenda I should have double checked my response before hitting enter. I meant to say other than military or law enforcement personnel civilians should NOT have access to these weapons. Sorry for the confusion 🙂

I thought that was what you had intended. After a bit of rumination I came to the thought that gun owners are just as likely to be as confused and emotional distressed as those who chose not to own a weapon. Your posting brought that to mind…thank you.

Oh I’m a confused individual indeed Brenda, LMAO 😀 I’m mostly confused with our lawmakers that sit on their hands and do nothing about these tragedies.
