Never Too Old © Steven Willard
Friend Giles invited me to his fly tying class under the belief I was interested in learning to tie flies. I may have given him that impression, but what I was really after was the opportunity to make some photographs. Most of the group, which numbered about a dozen, were near my age, and extremely friendly, even sharing their snacks and wine. Who knows, I may go back and give it a go. Never too old.

I agree with Joe, photography is all the hobby I need. Besides, I’m not sure I have the steady hands for tying! Great concentration on these guys.

Tell me about it! Can you imagine me with Parkinson’s trying to do that?

It was very interesting watching them creat bugs from bits of feather and lint.

Spectacular image Steven 🙂 So do you have the patience for fly fishing now that you know how to tie flies ? I never would. Taking images gives me the same sort of relaxation as some people get from fly fishing. I have a feeling you’re the same as I am 🙂 Wonderful work.
