Jousting they say was a sport of Kings. Today, the knights of the realm in the Shire reenact the sport for entertainment each year at the Renaissance Faire at Tuxedo Park, New York.
I am enthralled each year by the color and the personalities I encounter here with my camera. A colorful feast for the eyes and an entertaining day out with my wife.

A most thrilling shot!

I wish I could go too, and look for King Arthus and his Round Table Knights, but I live too far away. Please include more pictures of this historic King’s sport. Great picture with deep historic roots in Great Britain, now transferred to the U.S.

This is an awesome image AJ 🙂 I’m so impressed by your images from the Faire that I was thinking about going up there one weekend after it starts this year. Wonderful work.

Thank you very much Joe. I try to go at least once every season and even thought of spending an overnight at a hotel close to the Faire so I catch the beginning and the end as the drive up and back can eat a few hours but I find it worth the effort specially on a mild summer day.

Jousting is really a great thing to watch. I’ve just been to a small town watching one myself. Great photo!
