Wistful

Black And White Photography, Photography
Wistful female passenger on New York City subwaySubway, New York City

I was struck by the wistfulness of this young woman and would have been happy simply capturing her.  But then I saw the larger scene – the busyness of the couple to her right, clearly on a schedule –  and loved the contrast. I just had to push the shutter.

  1. It’s so confusing when you post the same (incredibly beautiful) photo on both Monochromia and Visual Venturing. Where am I supposed to comment? What would you prefer? I’m a very busy guy and just don’t have the time to comment on both sites! (Oh, who am I kidding? And bsides, this image deserves to be seen by as many people as possible. No flash, no sparkle, just great photography!)
