So much detail here, I can even see the cobwebs. I’ve heard you won’t be able to meet up with us in Washington Joe. Drats ! I guess I’ll just have to find you on a trip to NY 😀
What a wonderful image Joe, such beautiful light and wonderful detail. There’s something charming about such old windows… it must be the one that you open by pushing the lower part up… I haven’t seen such around here. Really lovely composition and such great use of light! 🙂
Thank you so much Elina 🙂 We seem to be stuck in a time warp in the US because this window style called double hung (no sexual overtones intended) is still the most popular kind. I know in Sweden and Norway and probably in Finland where you are they have a lot more advanced and energy efficient styles. Thank you again 🙂
So interesting to hear such windows are popular there. I don’t know if we have more advanced kind but it seems to be an architectural difference. I don’t remember ever seeing double hung windows here, not in old nor new buildings. 🙂

Beautiful dappled light and detail Joe and so much life in this still shot, as though someone is about to enter any moment.

The abstract art pieces that art the window / frame is so appealing to me. Unplanned bokeh!
Such a great shot, Joe!
