Well, now that my secret is out (see my explanation above) I think you could. All you need is a fairly precise automatic camera. And luck!

Shane is speechless? Never thought I’d see the day! π No, I don’t really know if you’re much of a talker so I was just kidding!

I love your sense of humour Emilio! Tough to tell, but I say what I need to say. I think I say more by simply doing.

Well, I was going to explain how we built a blind- sort of like hunters build a duck blind- and sat all day in this one spot just waiting for the horses to appear. Not moving, not drinking (otherwise we’d have to go to the bathroom). But the truth is a bit more, well, a lot more, mundane. Though these horses are wild, they are so used to people that they are always looking for hand outs. Free food. So, we drove up there one day with a five pound bag of carrots and walked into the midst of them when they appeared around a small lake. As we were feeding them, there was a commotion at my back. I whirled around and got the shot. Luckily for me, this was before I started shooting all manually so the camera focused and gave the correct exposure without me having to think. Unfortunately, this was also before I learned of shooting in RAW, so the image is JPEG. Still, I love it!

Yes, we had been feeding carrots to the horses (something that is now prohibited) when this occurred. Very fortuitous!
