I have a hard time taking travel photos that would actually show the place. I end up taking lots of photos like this one, of details. So let it be, a photo from my vacation in Tartu, Estonia. A beautiful brick wall that I felt had to be photographed.
Very interesting POV.

I’m the same with travel photos… You won’t really know there I’ve been unless you’ve been there yourself, because I always end up taking detail shots like yours. I’ve tried to take a different approach but have come to accept that I’ll come home with masses of detail shots no matter what I try. I found that once I’ve accepted that it’s just the way I snap things, I’m totally okay with it….
Love the perspective in your picture!

Elina, the perspectives you use in your photography are exactly why I LOVE your photos. This one just takes my breath away. So wonderfully creative! You keep right on taking photos of details – I personally think they show a great sense of “place.”

My wife always gets frustrated with me because I don’t tend to take the “normal” vacation type photos. Ah, the life of an artiste! Misunderstood even in his/her own home! 😉

What a great angle you used to get this perspective Elina 🙂 I love the texture of the bricks and the fact that you can see the number nine. It reminds me of “Revolution Number 9” on the Beatles White Album also 🙂 “Number nine, number nine”. Great job on this shot Elina.

It’s cool it reminded you of the Beatles song. I had to go and listen to it now of course. I’m quite familiar with their music but I had never heard this “song”. 🙂 Thank you for your kind words Joe!
