There were lots of nicely carved heads around the Viking market. Here is one up close and personal.

Walking around the Viking market I spotted his gentleman sitting in the sunshine carving intricate patterns in his wooden boxes. Well worth exposing a few pixels :0)

I was sitting on the grass talking to the wife and a photo opportunity came along all on his own. His shield looked a bit worn. The fire was set by a potter firing his pots the old way.

…you read this I will have been to this years Viking market near to where I live here in Norway. Hopefully this year I’ll bring back some shots I’d like to share with you.

Going against the digital trend and just to show what you can achieve with analogue here’s a shot from a few years ago.

I have a confession to make. As I wrote last week I was going to the Bi-annual Viking market at a local town. However the weather beat us back even before we got half-way. The heavens opened and, we had torrential rain. So we beat the retreat and will try again in two years time. Until then this is a shot I took 4 years ago at the same event. Vikings waiting to go into battle …once health and safety checked that the grass wasn’t too wet :0)

I’ll admit that this is an old fav. I took it in 2006 at a Viking market. These two were entertaining the kids.I just love the action in this shot. Just goes to show don’t mess with a Troll :0)
I shot it using a Canon S3 IS.
