This is a heavily visited attactraction in a national park about an hours drive from our house. Although it looks really oldies not that ancient really; it was built with stones from the beach in 1932.
I had to do a fair bit of photoshopping to remove the people but the end result looks ok to me.

One of the few artworks that really made an impact on me at Kistefos was this one.

The Twist is an art gallery about an hours drive from my home here in Norway. I have had plans to photograph it for a while now, but never got my act together to do anything about it. Well, what with all my travel plans for the summer abandoned I had to seek inspiration closer to home.

One forgotten post. This was the post I thought I’d posted last week. This new WP editor played a trick on me. Apologies to Joe whom does such a great job on this site.
Anyway here it is a picture of one of me favourite flowers.

I read somewhere on FB that there are only 20 more Fridays until Christmas. Then I thought of this picture I have from Mine #3
That’s what they wrote on the side of this coal bucket when they left the mine for good. Only it’s in Norwegian “God Jul”.

Still in Coal mine #3 this time in the workshop. This looked like the workshop diary or workbook. The page was open at 10.10.1995. Everything just left where it was last used.

This shot was taken the farthest north I have even been. Svalbard. This was the view from the abandoned music room at Pyramiden. This was only recently abandoned in the 90’s. 5 Russians live there to take care of the tourists that come. If they didn’t live there the territory would revert to the Norwegian state. The Russians have started to hotel…I wonder how that’s doing now?
