I must have passed by this building a dozen times and never noticed it. On this morning the sun was shining bright and I noticed the cloud reflections in the windows. It was then when noticed the new building.

Reclaiming Land

At first glance this lush green hill looks like another rural Long Island landscape. In actuality it’s smack in the middle of an industrial park. It’s a land reclamation project that was started years ago at a closed landfill. The pipeline in the foreground carries any methane gas from the underground layers of decaying trash to a processing plant where it is used to power the reclamation facility.
