While Spring along with Fall happens to be my favorite seasons, this Spring has been full of stops and starts. A visit to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden however can still produce lots of beauty. Here a closeup of a water lily with the help of an older Nikon AF lens on my D610.

I have been intrigued with Japanese Gardens and now convinced that I will create one, of course in a much smaller scale, on one side of our home. This Shinto Shrine can be seen overlooking the beautifully landscaped Japanese Hill and Pond Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Constructed a century ago way back in 1914, it happens to be the first Japanese Garden to be created in an American public space.
