  1. I met someone in LA who joined a mining company as an accountant. This company had a policy that made new hires work in every department during their first six months. The accountant saw six people die on the job.

    1. Oh no, Bob. Such dangerous work. I’d never seen a place like this before. I read that they produced a quarter of the copper for the world at one point. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Great image Jane πŸ‘πŸ» That is a deep mine, 1620 feet is 1/4 of a mile (I remember that from my old drag racing days LOL) so that mine is more than 1/2 mile deep.

    1. Thanks, Joe. It is amazing. I read that in the early 1900’s they mined 1/4 of the world’s copper supply. And they are currently restoring it for public tours- you can visit! πŸ˜ƒ
