Thank you Joe. This area is on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) wilderness. A million acres of pristine nature. It’s been in the news regarding copper and nickel mining wanting to operate in close proximity. As you may imagine, both sides are passionate. These places are so very precious and it’s not worth the risk of destroying in my humble opinion. I would recommend visiting to truly witness the extrodinary beauty of this area.
