Thank you AJ š This is a ranch located in Riverhead. They raise Longhorn Steer and also have about 200 head of Bison in another field. My friend Gregg (Photographers Network on Facebook) knows the owner of this ranch and we went out shooting about a month ago because the weather was good (no mud or snow to track into the car).
Thank you Elina š My friend Gregg and I were photographing these Longhorn Steer and they kept looking at us and coming up to the fence. Then we walked around the block to take some shots of some Bison and we noticed the Longhorn Steer in the distance in another field still watching us. When we went back around the block back to the Steer we noticed them charging at us. It was a little un-nerving at first then we realized they were just running back to the fence to greet us. Iām thinking people must feed them or something.
