A follow up to my contribution from last week, this design, one of several 100 if not 1000 of stone carvings seen at the Independence Hall in Colombo Sri Lanka.
Thank you Joe. Yes, very much so, all hand carved and most of the carvings are different designs as well. The interesting aspect also is that most of the columns were moved around for lack of mechanical aid by elephants!
Its amazing there are so many stone carvings are on Independence Hall AJ 😀 Being the building is so old I wonder if all of the carvings are slightly different (they had to be all hand made). Great image and amazing detail.
