McGraw Rotunda, New York Public Library

Ceiling detail photographed at the McGraw Rotunda of the New York Public Library main building located at 5th Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets. They built things with class a 100 years ago for sure!

They sure took far more time and effort to create beauty then compared to mostly straight lines and boxes that are nothing to look at in modern times. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment 🙂

I have been to NY numerous times and still have not gone to the library. Beautiful image. So glad we still have traditional old style buildings to look at and enjoy the amazing craftsmanship. The like modern architecture but it doesn’t hold a candle to the old style.

Having lived in NY for almost 11 years and having passed by numerous times I have to admit last weekend was my first visit there and surely will not be my last! Thank you

This is one of the most magnificent structures in New York City and you captured the ceiling detail in the McGraw Rotunda beautifully AJ 🙂 They don’t build them like they used to ! Great work.
