Come ride the Nevada Southern Railway excursion train at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, located in historic Boulder City, Nevada; the city that built the Hoover Dam.

Ride the rails and experience history dating back to the 1930’s – the time this Boulder Branch Line was constructed by the Union Pacific Railroad to service the Boulder Dam project. Ride in your choice of an open air car or air conditioned / heated Pullman coaches.of Nevada.

This one was stationary, you can’t even get inside. But there is a train you can ride. For a bit extra you can ride in the engine car. I might do it one day.

Okay, now I’m humming the old Simon & Garfunkel song by the same name (which is not a bad thing, as it is one of my favorites of theirs, but I am dating myself by admitting to this!). Love the angle and the close-up view – I can feel the heat coming off that old engine!

I see you’re trying to catch up on wp comments. Or maybe I’ve just been posting too much lately. πŸ™‚ Either way, it’s good to hear from you- that is as long as your comments are complimentary. πŸ˜‰

Thanks, Robyn. That’s what I was trying to convey. And since the colors were just black, white, and blue, it was an easy decision to go straight b & w.

Spectacular image and perfect choice of toner Emilio πŸ™‚ I really wish I could find one of these old steam locomotives somewhere in NY to photograph. Wonderful work. The title is one of Simon and Garfunkel’s best songs also.

I agree, especially when the only other color is blue. Interestingly, the engine reflected a lot of the sky so that the black actually looked blue.
