This is not, necessarily the gate to someone’s private garden. The sign says Maison Privee, Private House. It is on the grounds of La Caille Restaurant and Event Center in Sandy Utah. But, while coming up with the title for this post, I happened upon a review of the book and a preview of the 1993 film and it is now in my Netflix queue, as is A Little Princess. Go ahead. Laugh. But I’m getting pretty tired of all the Marvel and DC versions of our world. Time for a bit of rose tinted nostalgia.

I have such fond memories of reading The Secret Garden! Be sure to let me know your thoughts.
Those gates are intriguing!

Thanks, Sherry! A somewhat foreboding fairy tale, I would think. But then I guess they all are!

Perfect for the book and film. I have seen both films and there was an English series as well. The author also wrote Little Lord Faunteroy. Nice shot and editing.

Ah, I love “The Little Princess,” Emilio 🙂 Is this the one with Shirley Temple or the remake? I definitely like the original – I mean no one can resist little Shirley! As for your photo, I can hear the creaking hinges on those gates. Such cool details – perfect for Halloween!

I didn’t know there was one with Shirley Temple. This was an English version. It’s next on my queue. I wonder what Joe will say when he finds out I’m watching a child’s movie. 🙂

This is a really cool image Emilio and the title is perfect 🙂 Wonderful work.
PS – The image that you uploaded somehow got corrupted where it would not display when the post was published. I had to go into the media section, download the image then upload it again reinsert it into your post.

Thanks, Joe. Don’t know how that might have happened. When I previewed it, it worked fine.
