I have been intrigued with Japanese Gardens and now convinced that I will create one, of course in a much smaller scale, on one side of our home. This Shinto Shrine can be seen overlooking the beautifully landscaped Japanese Hill and Pond Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Constructed a century ago way back in 1914, it happens to be the first Japanese Garden to be created in an American public space.

The trees in this image are wonderful and so varied. Love it!

This is a wonderful image AJ I love the composition 🙂 The Japanese Gardens in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens really is a gorgeous place to sit and contemplate on a beautiful day. Its hard to imagine so much beauty in the BBG and prospect Park in the middle of a busy borough like Brooklyn. Awesome work.

Thank you Joe 🙂
If not for my research on Japanese Garden design I likely might have never gone into the BBG due to my dislike of traffic but it really is worth the while. It truly is a wonderful oasis in the midst of a concrete jungle.

Thank you Mitchell. Even being in Nassau, Long Island, it feels like a trek to get here owing to the traffic but it is well worth the effort.
