  1. Robyn, this is a truly great photograph. I use the photographs of Monochromia for my morning prompt to get my writing going. I usually don’t publish any of the prompts. It’s just a starter exercise to get me in writer mode. This one I have used three times. I love that there are so many characters on this street from whose perspective I can write. I always love your work but this one truly is a gem.

    1. This was yesterday’s response:
She puffed away at her cigarette. When she wasn’t sure of something, she had a cigarette. It seemed the best thing to do. So was she going to accept Josh’s proposal? She’d been dating him for six months. He’d gotten way too serious way too soon. And there was that other problem. He was allergic to cats. She would never have another cat again. She loved cats.

    1. Rajiv – good guess, but I don’t think so. The timing of the shot certainly lends one to think there might have been an argument but when observing the situation prior to shooting it they two didn’t interact – I don’t even think they noticed one another.
