When I was a child and dragged dirt into the house after a rough day of playing outdoors my mom would always ask me “Were you brought up in a barn ?” I’m starting to think those words had some sort of impact on me because I find barns so hard to resist 🙂

A great shot, Joe! I love the textures and contrast. Very nice!

Nice shot, and my mother used to ask if we were brought up in a barn if we left doors wide open….

Easy to see why you have so much fun here Joe, the light polishes up the scene so well. Your lovely mother doesn’t seem to be too far away!

Love the image Joe, and also the story that comes with it. I believe my grandparents and parents used similar sayings when I grew up. Times do change as I don’t say such phrases to my kids. Is it the urbanization? 🙂

It might be urbanization, LOL. When I would want to do something one of my friends were doing my mother would also ask me “If your friend jumps off the Brooklyn Bridge would you want to also ?”. I really miss my mom and those sayings. Thank you so much Elina 🙂

Your mom was a smart woman. It seems like mothers really put some sense in their kids’ heads. 🙂

I don’t remember hearing that as I grew up but Lynn never ceases to ask that almost all the time lately! What’s with that? I don’t think I ever saw a barn until I got interested in photography!

If Lynn is saying that to you lately I think someone is being a little piggy wiggy Emilio 🙂 Thanks and I think there is something inherently interesting about barns to photographers.

Me? Piggy wiggy? OK, so I leave my clothes on the floor at night. It’s only because Lynn falls asleep on the couch, then crawls into bed before I’m ready and so I can’t turn on the light when I go in. It’s not my fault she suffers from narcolepsy!
