This skateboarder seems relatively unconcerned by the construction area drop. Shot from “The High Line” by 11th Avenue.

Did you take this when you were out with me and Patti, Joe?? Never even spied this! Great shot of a rather foolhardy move 😉

In my youth I probably would have been this guy. Blissfully unaware of the danger. But now that I’m married my wife won’t let me use my skateboard. There are a lot of things she won’t let me do any more! 😦

I am guessing that it is not a drop but a raised wall. Whatever it is, that is one really cool capture.

Thank you very much 🙂 It is a drop, he is at street level and I don’t even think he was supposed be in this area. I believe the vehicles are construction workers vehicles and each side of the street was barricaded. Apparently not well enough 🙂

The behavior of the subject in this photograph is so unaware of his surroundings, that anything can happen. The picture has a lot of suspense similar to the scenes of Hitchock’s films.
As usual Joe, great shot.
