To learn more about this image and to see it in color, visit my personal blog: Robyn Graham Photography I’d love to know your thoughts on the black and white image compared to the color image. Some might say sunsets are like flowers and they should be photographed in color…I believe they can be compelling and thought provoking in both color and black and white. Thoughts?

Is that in PA? lol

Love the fading, misty glow surrounding the lone piper!

We have a bagpiper that plays at the end of our Annual Memorial Day Service and this image reminds me of the solemnity of that event.
The B&W really tugs on the heart.

This is beautiful. Bagpipes are really haunting to listen to and this photo has such a haunting quality about it. Love it.

This looks like Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach.

One is a picture of a sunset, the other a picture of a piper…I prefer the piper (B&W). 🙂

Bagpipes and Kilts are not unknown to me. Hand on heart I think the colour version looks too washed out for my taste. That effect is not so obvious in the B&W version here. I therefore like this one better :0)

I really love both of the versions Robyn but I think the B&W has a little more impact. Great work.

I prefer this in black and white – to me it enhances the isolation of the figure….
