Laurie, I just replied to Karen’s (Kaz’s) comment ๐Ÿ™‚ See if it makes sense to you. If it doesn’t, let me know. It took me a number of tries to get this one, but it’s really a very fun technique. I have complete faith that you’ll nail the technique quickly ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, Karen. It’s really not all that hard. It just takes a lot of tries! If I can do it, anyone can! It’s mostly about keeping your focus point (or points) on the person as you try to match their speed. Put your camera on burst mode, beginning firing before they reach you, smoothly turn as they pass in front of you, and don’t stop firing until they’re past you (as you continue to turn). Anchor your feet and turn at the hips. Try it, you’ll like it ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re right, Karen – cuz each will do it in their own special way ๐Ÿ˜‰ But thanks for the compliment ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way, what time is it by you? It’s 3PM Monday here – I’m figuring it’s like 7AM in Australia – am I close??

well now since reading your reply its 6:48am so you were not too far off. Of course if I took daylight saving into the mix, where I actually live its an hour earlier but I don’t do daylight saving time as where I work is over the border and an hour later… confused? lol ๐Ÿ™‚

This was one of those days where I actually had the time I needed to stand on that street corner and aim my camera at unsuspecting passersby, Emilio ๐Ÿ™‚ I was determined to make this work! It’s a fun method and not nearly as difficult as one would think. If you’re a golfer, you won’t have a problem – it’s a lot about the hips. I’ll let you ask me about that one ๐Ÿ˜‰
