As much as the entire landscape was beautifully coated in hoarfrost, there is an amazing amount of beauty to be found when you get up close to the frost. Although not seen in this image, when I examined it more closely, I discovered that it is made up of tiny, snowflake shaped ice crystals stuck together.

Actually, I hadn’t either. I plan to invest in a focus slider to make macro easier to work with. Trying to focus with the lens makes the camera shake when I am using live view magnification making focus difficult.
