Great shot, Steven. I am obsessed with winter trees. 🙂

Thank you, Jane. I had wanted to photograph this tree for three or four years, but I kept imagining it against a blank sky, and every time I thought I had an angle to do that I failed. Finally, this time I realized that the branches in the lower half would read lighter than the trees in the background, and the upper half were going to read darker against the sky. Once I saw that in my mind it was as though I had permission to go ahead and make the exposure. Weird, huh?

Great image Steven 🙂 There are not many things I like about winter that I like but the different shapes of trees without leaves always draws my attention. Wonderful work.
