When I first looked at this it reminded me of all the roadside memorials we have here on Long Island Dan. Everyone in the Tri-State area is always in such a hurry accidents are frequent. This is an open field and a rural area so I am curious what happened. In any case I think the light vignetting adds so much to this image, wonderful work 🙂
This was in the middle of nowhere on a long straight stretch of road – not near and intersection or any other feature that may give a hint as to what may have happened.
It’s difficult to “like” this photo, but only because of the subject matter. I agree with Joe, the light vignetting was a good choice.

Same as Joe, people in Las vegas believe 90 is the new 65 on the freeways. On the side streets there are quite a profusion of memorials. So sad.
