oh, snow! somehow that doesn’t seem like a very Nevada thing to do. but a cousin and her family spent some time in Utah over Christmas, and they encountered some snow at some of the canyons.

Am starting to feel like a bit of a snow chaser now Joe! Checked the weather report for Pioche before we left NYC and saw snow predicted. WHAT??? For a week-end road trip it was truly spectacular and half of me wishes I were still out there. Anyhow, in Vegas now where it’s raining, still, and blowing a mighty wind. Not winter sunshine and cocktails by the pool that’s for sure, not that that was part of my plan but happy to maybe get some photos of same.
Hoping to have that beer with Emilio!

Hey Emilio, took this shot near Caliente. We spent the night before in Pioche where it snowed overnight and into Sunday. It was still snowing at a steady clip in Alamo and south from there as we drove towards Vegas. This is all NE of Vegas and it was so beautiful, I could have stayed out that way for much longer . . . . How much snow did you find at Mt. Charleston?

And yes, would love to catch up with you! Did think of you as we were driving along – the snow and of course the clouds, hoping you were out and catching some. Hope to hear from you!

We’ve been to Caliente twice. In fact, that’s where I was headed the day I drove my car into the ground. Thankfully, the car made it back home before dying on me. Otherwise I would have still been out there. I didn’t get out of the house at all on Saturday- working on photos. And then Sunday morning we had a family gathering in California we had to go to so we left around 8 am and it was beautiful here. But by 10:30 we were driving in torrential rain and gusting winds. And the weather didn’t let up until we got home at 10 pm that night. So you got here just in time for not summer!
