Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit Of Saint Louis hangs in all her glory at the original point of takeoff at Mitchell Field (Roosevelt Field), Long Island which is now the home of the Cradle Of Aviation Museum.

Fab shot Joe, it looks so fragile hanging up there!

Hi Joe:
Many years ago I saw the movie about the Charles Linbergh’s solo-non-stop flight of this plane across the Atlantic Ocean from Roosevelt Field on New York’s Long Island to Le Bourget Field in Paris, France. It was an historic flight in more ways than one. After that event, the aviation industry acquired a whole new dimension to this very day. We are now planning flights to Mars.
Thank you for the memories.
Omar.-

This image is a real beauty. I remember hanging out at Roosevelt Field Mall in my younger days and going to the movies there. Where is this in relation to the mall?

Thank you Emilio π Roosevelt Field mall is north of the museum its closer to the old Nassau Coliseum.

Are you saying the Nassau Coliseum is no more? I think I actually went there once.

Its partially demolished going through a major renovation (for a few years). I went to so many concerts at the coliseum but Madison Square Garden always sounded so much better (acoustically).
