The Best Of Monochromia – Stacy Fischer – Mirrored

Black And White Photography, Photography

I laugh every time I think of when I invited Stacy to join us at Monochromia because she honestly thought her images would not “measure up” because she considered herself an amatuer photographer.  Since then she has posted some of the most amazing images I have seen on any site.  I have met her numerous times when she makes her treks to NYC joining Patti and I on photo expeditions.  Stacy is a lot of fun to be with and I can proudly call her my friend also – Joe

Stacy, we had drinks in the bar of this place and I don’t remember seeing it as this stunning temple of compositional and light fantastic! Watching you work is akin to taking a masterclass in understatement and I am constantly in awe of the shots which come out of an amazingly quiet sense of calm, consideration and care. Always great fun when you come to town Stacy and looking forward to catching up with you again, and you too Joe!
Happy New Year Stacy to you and your family!

Wow, Patti, I’m rather speechless after reading your wonderful comment 😊 I’m not sure my family would agree that I have a quiet sense of calm, though perhaps that is why I like photography so much – it forces me to slow down 😀 Really, thank you so much for your kind words. You know I am likewise in awe when I watch you work!

Our next meetup can’t come soon enough – I’m going through withdrawal! Cheers to a fantastic 2016 for you and yo family too!!

Here here Joe, I love Stacys photos and in black and white they are transformed into the next realm. The one above is one of my favourites, I love the symmetry, the repetition in the tiles and arches and the reflections.

Stacy an amateur? Hah. This image alone proves that she’s in a class of her own. We just allow her to play with the rest of us so her head doesn’t get too big!

Joe, thank you so much for not only choosing NYC photo, but for choosing this particular one to showcase. It is one of my favorites – and one from one of my first outings with my Fuji 🙂 I can’t thank you enough for your kind words and the wonderful photographic journey you have led me on as a result of inviting me to be a part of this fabulous group. I am thankful every day for Monochromia and the friendships that have resulted! You did a brilliant job with “Best of” – it’s been so much fun to look back and to read your wonderful comments. But unless I’ve missed it, seems we need to have a “best of” from you!

Happy 2016 to you and Terry!
