I weep a little every time I see this classic sticking out from under the trees and bushes. For those that are wondering, it is an MG Magnette.
This last summer I got to see a fully restored one (however not the one in the link) at a country show. The owner told me that in the sixties they were often used as stock cars as they were powerful and sturdy. Many were just raced and wrecked so there aren’t too many in good condition any more.
This is a fairly straight shot with only black and white conversion. It has an almost 3D effect in my opinion.
Nikon D800
Nikkor AIS 20mm f2.8

It almost looks as if the grill has been shined up a bit, doesn’t it?

A fine vehicle much favoured by UK police in the 1950s – car chases in films of the time invariably featured a Magnette. Perhaps you could crowd fund its restoration 🙂

Well thats a long story. However The area is now protected by law as a kind of cultural heritage site. Nothing is aloud to be moved.
Thanks for the comment.
