Fuji X-Pro 1 and Fuji XF 35mm f/2 WR R Lens – 1/1250 @ f/2.8 – ISO 200
Today I decided to take my old Fuji X-Pro 1 out with the just released Fuji 35mm f/2 lens. Ā I think I’m in love all over again š
For my friends across the pond the term “going postal” in the USA usually means someone who is losing their mind and destroying things.

LOL, Joe š Great, fun photo perfectly titled!

Glorious light in this Joe, and such a peaceful pastoral scene for “going postal” – Stephen King plot not too far away?
(Our local PO is always full of angry little old ladies waiting in line, the tension is awful and I keep expecting fights to break out all the time. The staff, as you can imagine, don’t give a monkey’s which only feeds the hostility.)

Thank you very much Patti š Its funny you mention the staff because at my local PO they don’t seem to give a rats ass either, LOL.

I’m sure they get off on the torment Joe, with a point scoring system out the back for the best/worst of the week with extra points for closing the window when the line is really long. That one must crack them up. I bet they fight to take turns for that one!

I agree Patti they must keep a score sheet in the back room š As far as the window closing with the long line goes thats probably reserved for veterans of the PO with seniority rights. They must really get their jollies off on that one.

Awesome!! I’ve tried several times to capture a row of mailboxes that I pass from time to time, but I’ve been no where near as successful. The pickets, the leaves, the mailboxes … lovely!

Thank you very much Laurie š Rows of these types of mailboxes are pretty hard to find on Long Island. Usually the mailboxes are attached to the homes.

It’s funny how you (OK, me) take certain words or phrases for granted. I never would have thought to explain Going Postal. It’s just seems (unfortunately) like a way of life in the states. Great image to go with the phrase!

It is unfortunate that its a way of life in the states. Thank you very much Emilio š

Beautiful shot. I have never heard of that term.

Thank you Raewyn š I think it originated with a fired postal employee going nuts and shooting his former workplace up (and that was way before the situations we have now in the USA). Could you imagine ?

You know how fond I am of idioms. To be candid with you, I have never hear the idiomatic phase before. Thank you for the English class. As usual great picture in black and white.

Omar.-
