Thank you. Exactly right – the background blur was added in post due to a less than optimal exposure – nailed the truck, but the sky was completely gone. This is a crop from the original (4:5 aspect ratio) where more blur was present above the truck and in the lower left of the frame. It looks like I could have feather the transition a bit more 🙂 I see that more in the B&W version than in the color. This turned out well when printed as a 48 x 60 canvas in color.
Thanks Joe. This property was littered with may fine specimens besides this one. This is also the location of Barnscape (http://wp.me/p4GHEz-1kF) and Cadilac (http://wp.me/s4GHEz-cadillac) I’ll reiterate, that this abandoned farmstead was a favorite and is arguably one of the best photographic experience my wife and I have had.
Wonderful image Dan 🙂 I love these images of old deteriorating trucks. Judging by the length of the mirrors this must have had a pretty big body on this cab. Great work.
Nice shot.

Nicely done, Dan. Good move to go with shallow processing and throw the distracting background out of focus. 🙂
