Basseterre, St. Kitts
I posted this photo two months ago on my own blog in response to a Weekly Photo Challenge (scale). It’s one of my favorites, so I thought I’d share it here.

Great Image. I spent 25 years in the Navy (mostly on aircraft carriers) so I really appreciate “Large” ships. This is a great shot.

My boat, the one that’s just out of frame is 2x’s bigger than these!! 😛
Excellent sense of scale Stacy! These things seem to be getting larger every few years that go by!

Ha! As for size, I know! We had a chance to see the largest ship in their fleet a few years ago. Unbelievable! And now, there are two even larger ones. They’re like small floating cities!

Great shot Stacy. I love the symmetry with the two floating cities and the little bell between them.

Great photo. Love the symmetry, yet is not symmetry at the same time.

What a beautiful image Stacy 🙂 Its incredible how high they can build these boats now, you would think they would be top heavy (no comments Emilio) 🙂 Great work.

There’s some pretty amazing parking skills there, just hope they’re careful when they open the doors! Great photo Stacy! 🙂

It really was unbelievable to walk down the pier between these two behemoths, Katie. Talk about feeling small! Thanks so much 🙂

I just can’t imagine two ships that size side by side. Excellent photo.

When we took the tour on the Queen Mary, they said it was one and a half times larger than the Titanic. There was a Carnival Cruise ship docked next to us an it was easily larger. SO, my question is how in the world do these monsters float? I love this shot, but no way will I ever go on a cruise.

Just drink enough, Emilio, not to think about it 😉 Actually, I have that same thought every time I fly (not the drinking, but how in the world does this work??)!
