I love this image. You have managed to capture sharpness and detail, but also there is softness and texture in the greys of the shadows awning and brickwork. And the French-looking chairs in the shop next door (sadly, moving!) add to the total effect. Nicely balanced.

What a lovely comment! I enjoy seeing the image through your eyes, as I have to be honest and admit that I don’t think I consciously recognized all the nuances you see in the image when I shot it – I just love anything that speaks of France and this is one of my favorite Georgetown cafes 🙂 Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your thoughts. I really do appreciate it!

Sorry, Joe 😉 Actually, I just had dinner with my husband there on Friday night – incredible French-inspired food in a laid-back atmosphere. It was wonderful!

Okay, kind of a “dare you” move by one of the lovely ladies. I just happened to take up the baton, so to speak 😉
