I was on my way home from a friends house and noticed this Rat Rod which seems to be a trend here in the USA. A Rat Rod is a Hot Rod with a really strong motor and a ratty body (a sleeper).

This truck is a Frankenstein of sorts with a General Motors body combined with a Chevrolet hood (bonnet) and a mixture of parts from other vehicles.

Notice the Pennzoil oil barrel that was sawed in half to repair the transmission tunnel in true Rat Rod fashion.

Love the Rat Rod term. Is it true Rat Rod tradition to have the rest of the car look ratty but those hubcaps are so bright and shiny?

Like for sure, the one I like most is the third, I wanted to look at it in bigger size, but “oops nothing found”. I wanted to see the reflection in the hubcap.
