… this is not an ad!
I’d just returned home from my trip to Kentucky, and had spent the previous 3 hours riding in the rain. The light, and the shadows, and the raindrops on the windshield, stopped me in my (very wet, dripping )tracks. My bike was dripping, too, but it had brought me home safely and that, my friends, is all that really matters.
Come on over to Life on the Bike and Other Fab Things to see more images from my adventures on, and off, the bike. Please check out the blogs of my fellow contributors to Monochromia, too!

Laurie, I liked this photo when you first posted it, but never commented (shame on me!). I love rainy days (don’t know what that says about me, though usually I like them better when I’m curled up indoors watching it from the inside!), so your photo just makes me smile. Funny, I recently posted a photo of a rain-splashed hood of a Ford Explorer. But the story behind that image (just sitting in a parking lot with my camera) has none of the adventure of yours 🙂

you are so right, there is something about rainy days! I love them, too! Thanks for coming back to comment … it does take some work (happy work, thankfully) to be a blogger friend, doesn’t it?

It’s a brilliant photograph,
maybe you should sell this
one, advertising companies
will love this almost as much
as I do, though they pay well,
and that’s even better 🙂

Thanks K! When I did my 50th Birthday Solo Ride, I wrote about the ride and had it published in 3 places … nothing big, mind you, but it was still pretty cool for me 🙂

Well, it certainly could be an ad, and I think it would be a pretty good one too! Water drops on vehicles make for great images, especially in monochrome! Nicely photographed.

Thank you, Mike. You are right about the water on vehicles. I reallly wanted to reflect my ride in the rain … I took another one of raindrops on my helmet shield and that one turned out pretty cool, too.

Great, without the elements, there is no adventure, I have come home with icicles in my beard, I have ridden through white-outs, ice storms, floods, hail like marbles, never have i felt so alive 🙂

Thanks Joe! I was just saying in a previous comment that “the funny thing, is that I was really trying to reflect the rainy day in which I rode. I didn’t really think about it being a promotion of HD. Ah well …. maybe both messages came across”

It’s amazing if you really look there are pictures everywhere. HD could use this as an advertising shot:0)
