Montreal’s Alleys

ISO400 – F2.8 – 50mm – GIMP and G’MIC

I used to live in a suburb financially comfortable throughout my whole childhood. As soon as I moved out from under my parents roof, I headed to something more “working class”. I’ve learned so much from these places. I’ve learned a lot about needs, how to get out of the bottom with nothing at all, and how to have self esteem while wearing worn out jeans for a job interview. 😉

    1. Jospeh told me a secret, Laurie.

He told me that sharing is more than posting a simple pictures, but it is also about sharing experiences and thoughts.

And this why I love your comment. Because i feel that I shared something…

Thank you and have a great day!

      1. Yes! My personal blog has always been about the story with the photos as an accent to the travels, adventures. Of course, the photos are the addiction 🙂

  1. Hello Meho,
I am happy to see a new photo from you on Monochromia 🙂
I agree with you, there is no better school than School of Life. And as Joe writes, most people who are used to a comfortable lifestyle (or have not experienced job loss in this day and age) don’t realise how difficult the reality is for so many people…
Wish you a nice week ahead 🙂

  2. Shoot, I’m still wearing worn out jeans! There’s just something about back alleys that are so “romantic” to me. That is probably the wrong word to use but this seems so evocative of a bygone era. I love the image and what you have done with it.

  3. Great shot and post Meho 🙂 Most people don’t realize how difficult it is once they are out on their own, even more so these days. It was a lot easier when I was younger because at least you could find full time work back then. Now it seems like nobody wants to hire full time only part time. I love the “how to have dignity going to a job interview with worn out jeans” part of your post. Have a great day.
