This place is called Oak Beach and the barrier Island in the distance is Fire Island. This is also the place where the OBI or Oak Beach Inn once stood which was a big hangout for people who loved to party back in the day. There was a pretty famous fight between the owner and the Town of Babylon government when they forced him to shut down. Thank you Laurie ๐
OK, this is what I’m talking about. The Fuji b & w jpeg’s seem to lack contrast and adequate darkness to me. You must have helped this along in Lightroom or some other processing app. No? This is gorgeous! Maybe just a touch more highlights for my taste.
Thank you Emilio ๐ I did help it along a bit but it was a very dark and dreary day. By the way in the in camera Q menu you can adjust the shadows and highlights to your liking also. I usually have my shadows set to +1 and the highlights set to -1. I think more experimenting is in order Emilio ๐
A really awesome and creative shot Joe, love it! ๐

Joe, where is this place?
Were you out shooting?
(I always want the story, don’t I?)
