It is difficult to judge the scale of this without some kind of reference. But the door was only about 4, maybe 5 feet high. That is what made me think of Alice In Wonderland. I have never read any of the Alice books. But when I was researching quotes, I decided I want to read them. Or at least one of them. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Laurie. But I’ve come to the realization that I will never catch up. I thought, when life gets too hard for you, go blogging! But shoot, with the blogging comes writing and liking and commenting! It becomes almost as much work as life.

Shoot, I was hoping they would be good. But as soon as I finish the two books I am reading simultaneously now, I will pick up, “Through The Looking Glass” and give it a try! I’ll let you know.

Thanks, Lynn. It was very crowded around there and as I was trying to take the shot, people were looking at me then the door probably trying to figure out what I was seeing. Why take a shot of a door? But it was the size and texture that got my attention!

When I was working on it last night I thought the clouds were more obvious. Of course, I’m looking at it on a different screen this morning. I get your reference to Young Frankenstein. Maybe that’s what attracted me to the angle but when shooting, I was just trying to get the moon in the shot at the same time.

Mais oui! It does look a bit like a hacienda door, the rounded arch and the rough textured wall. It is actually part of the Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas. I have no idea what it might be for. Probably storage or utility connections. Or a gnomes home!
