“So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.” – T.S. Elliot
I took this shot late one evening as I was retiring from a day of skiing. I had just checked on the kids and was climbing the steps of the cabin when I noticed the incredible detail of the evening light. The snow through the window and the dark shadows defined the stillness of the night while the light danced through the window.
Hoping you have moments of stillness with gorgeous light this weekend!

Oooh, I just love moments like these 🙂 And a great story to go with this lovely image, Robyn. Seize the day!

An excellent capture and that is the second time this week I’ve seen that quote. I love “and the stillness the dancing”

Beautiful image Robyn 🙂 I love the rustic look of the knotty pine panel in the door. Great work.

I like this a lot; a very calm but striking picture. It is a sort of compare-and-contrast study in rectangles- there must be at least 15. I see what you mean about the stillness too. Thank you for posting it!
