You guessed it!  The Gerber Daisy represents innocence in the Victorian language of flowers.  To see this flower in color, visit my blog at Robyn Graham Photography. I would love to hear which you prefer – color or black and white.  Do you find the Gerber Daisy worthy of admiration in the absence of color?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Robyn, I was prepared to like your color photo better, and though I do love the burst of color, I was surprised by my ultimate decision that I actually prefer the B&W version. The details are so soft and beautiful, with no distraction of the color. I have to admit that I did find myself wondering if my decision would have been different if the flower had been a white daisy with a yellow center (I absolutely love yellow) 😉 So much fun to discover that flowers really do not need to be shot in color to be fully appreciated. Well done!

There are a lot of people that think you have to take flower pictures in colour. Your shot is a fine example for not doing so. Well done.

Robyn, there is just something about the absence of color that I love (and I do love the color of flowers, especially a daisy). The color version is beautiful, too, but this one really captivates.
And that quote … love it!

I’ve always been a fan of black and white floral shots, even though I mostly shoot them in colour (tends to be what clients prefer). This is quite nice, Robyn, and certainly this Gerber daisy looks equally beautiful in monochrome!

I like it in color also but for me in black and white this image has such wonderful creamy softness, it’s even better this way. So beautiful Robyn! Have a great weekend! 🙂
