A dark night of shadows, rain and rising steam in the streets of Philadelphia.
Photo from iPhone via strange experience of posting from iPad. As with Robyn from days before, laptop is now being repaired – the touch pad seized up and said very firmly “No More!”

Superbe j’adore!!!

This is wonderful, has an amazing atmosphere! 🙂 Reminds me of some pictures my parents took in 1950’s London in the early morning smog that used to occur in those days.

Funny you should say that because the couple in front, with the umbrellas, had a distinctive vintage look to them which I was anxious to catch but . . . . by the time I turned the camera on etc they were a little further away and the hoodie person came bearing down the frame, plus Mr Kuche was running out of patience, again. Honestly . . . . Thank you so much for your kind words Suzy!

Have fun with it Emilio! I’m not a big fan of point and shoot, much preferring the comfort of a viewfinder but somehow happy enough to point and shoot the iPhone . . .

Thank you Justin! It’s aways tricky shooting in the street at night with car lights turning up at either the right time or the wrong time!

Stunning shot, Patti! Love that intense well of darkness in the hood of the nearest figure – it so beautifully balances the lights.

Great image Patti 🙂 I love the way this lights flared and the intensity of the steam. The lady with the umbrella is the icing on the cake. When I first looked at it I thought it was NYC but Philadelphia is another city I love. iPhones are such handy cameras, the picture quality is already amazing. Can you imagine the quality of the images you could get if they increased the size of the sensor. I hope this computer thing isn’t contagious 🙂 Good luck with the laptop Patti.

Thank you Joe! It was one of those lucky shots taken in passing and, as the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have on you at the time which for me is often my iPhone – there is so much freedom and no pressure! So agree with you about the increased sensor size Joe and trust the gremlins stay away from your computer!

Excellent! I love this….reminds me of an old Ramyond Chandler film (but I can’t think which one)…very atmospheric and slightly menacing too with the hooded figure. I love it!

Thank you James! Your comment reminds me how many sub- plots Raymond Chandler hid in such scenes. So much to keep up with!
