Signs of Spring was shot in diffused light in between rain showers; April showers bring May flowers. I used a shallow depth of field to achieve a more abstract composition.
Can you guess what the rain drops fell on? Â I’ll give you a hint – they are some of the first signs of Spring on the North East Coast and provide much needed color to dull, early Spring landscapes.
To see this image in color visit my personal blog: Robyn Graham Photography. Â I’d love to hear which you prefer – the monochromatic image or the color image.

I really love the soft delicateness of this one Robyn. Beautifully executed. It’s nice to see signs of spring, especially since it’s cold and snowing here again today!!

Okay, Robin, I voted 😀 And while the delicacy of this shot is beautiful, I love yellow flowers, so I voted for the color version 😉

A beautiful minimalistic shot Robyn! After checking out the color version I’d guess it’s a Daffodil. 🙂

Thanks Elina! The flower is a Daffodil! I don’t have Crocus any more because the deer and rabbits are them all! 😔 Have a great day!

beautiful and interesting image Robyn 🙂 The rain drops must have fell on Crocus, but I’ve been known to be wrong before 🙂 Great work.
